passage of time photo challenge

Well, life's a road that you travel on
There's one day here and the next day gone
Sometimes you bend, sometimes you stand
Sometimes you turn your back to the wind

There's a world outside every darkened door
Where blues won't haunt you anymore
For the brave are free and they love our soul
Come ride with me to the distant shore

We won't hesitate
To break down the guarding gate
There's not much time left today

Life is a highway, I wanna ride it
all night long
If your going my way, I wanna drive it
All night long

cool idea--and it totally fits with the theme! :) Did you just keep the camera still with the shutter open longer, or did you move it in any of the pictures?
They're all pretty similar, except the colors (which is a nice change of pace). I think I like the third one best because of the red and the strong lines.

Hope you're getting some sleep! -kt

I actually had the camera set for 3-4 second exposures- set up on the dashboard of my Jeep as we were driving :)

I really enjoying studying every picture to see what each one is. I think the second one is my favorite. I don't have an artsy reason why...I just find myself looking at it more. :-)

Please tell me this song was one the radio!!!!!!! Love it. What a cool moment! Simple idea, which I love. But the outcome is sooo interesting and mysterious. It is interesting to me that something that we do and feel everyday, such as driving down the road and all the vibration and bumps and feelings that we become numb too overtime........here they become so highlighted in a visual way!!! They take on new life and become rather exciting and mysterious. Even though your interpretation of the passing of time is only showing seconds worth.......it is valid none the less and you found a dramatic way to do this. I struggled with how to show it with a big enough impact! You did not at all.....very creative and out of the box! Great job. I enjoyed them very much.

I really like these! I did something similar in school by mistake and ended up loving them more than most my work. awesome job thinking outside the box!

Em, I have to say that these images didn't surprise me at all...you've always been fascinated with deconstructing what you see.

I really enjoy how these images make me think deeper about the theme.

The second picture is by far the most facinating one to me. I feel like the squigly blobs could be a different language and I just love the two lines that cut right through the top of the image. I like how smooth the lines look...I really get a sense of movement when I look at them.

the last picture is my favorite because of the colours. It's so different for the other two, but still contains elements found in those images.

Very interesting set!

I've really enjoyed everyone's interpretation of this challenge!
